Choose the right reporting route for applicable individual or HUF payments.
Challan-cum-statement preparation and filing. TDS on applicable contractual / professional payments by individuals / HUFs.
Who is this service for?
Form 26QD is the familiar earlier label for specified individual/HUF contractual or professional-payment TDS reporting. For applicable new-framework periods, the Income Tax Department’s Form 141 guide identifies Schedule C for the relevant category.
Relevant audience: Applicable buyers, tenants or payers (individuals / HUFs). Start with the taxpayer category, registration and period; a familiar form name alone does not establish that a service is applicable to you.
What your expert checks
Why does the payer’s status matter?
A professional invoice does not determine the form on its own. The expert checks who is paying, the nature and timing of the payment, the recipient and the applicable provisions. Ordinary business deductors may have a different quarterly reporting obligation. Share the agreement, invoices, PANs, payment schedule and deduction records so the route is based on facts rather than a keyword such as consultancy.
What should be checked before submission?
Reconcile the amount paid or credited, the relevant deduction base, any special certificate being relied on and the tax actually deposited. Explain multiple payments or recipients instead of combining them without a basis. A correction to an earlier filing or a disputed deduction treatment should be disclosed as a separate requirement. The plan does not automatically include drafting a commercial contract or resolving a vendor payment dispute.
Documents to keep ready
A clear working file helps the expert ask relevant questions and reduces avoidable back-and-forth. Prepare these records for the exact scope you want to purchase:
- PAN / TAN and deductor details, as applicable
- Selected financial year and quarter / transaction
- Deductee PANs and payment / deduction records
- Tax challans and previous statements where relevant
Use your consultation’s secure document facility when sharing records with the assigned expert. Do not put passwords, OTPs, personal identifiers or client documents in a public comment.
Before you approve the work
- Confirm whether the specified individual/HUF route applies to the payer.
- Share contracts, invoices, PANs and the complete payment/deduction schedule.
- Check the relevant period and Form 141 schedule where the new framework applies.

How expert-assisted filing works
- Choose the right scope. Review the service, relevant period and final plan terms, or request a quote for specialist work.
- Connect with your assigned expert. After a successful eligible purchase, use the client dashboard to discuss the requirement and share the relevant records.
- Resolve the queries. The expert reviews the supplied information and asks for missing details. Review the proposed figures and required statutory payments before authorising submission.
- Keep the outcome and evidence. Retain the filed documents, acknowledgement and payment evidence relevant to the completed work.
No filing completion time, tax saving, approval or regulatory outcome is guaranteed. Incomplete documents, portal dependencies and unresolved facts can affect the work.

Is Form 26QD / Form 141 Schedule C the same as Form 26Q?
No. The reporting route depends on the payer and applicable provisions. A transaction-based individual/HUF obligation should not be confused with the ordinary quarterly resident non-salary statement.
